V-Label GmbH in Switzerland, as the owner of the trademark rights, coordinates the international cooperation on the V-Label. The V-Label has been an internationally recognized and protected trademark since 1996. All decisions are made in cooperation with the vegetarian and vegan organizations involved (e.g. Swissveg, ProVeg e.V., VGÖ).

Since most of the certification work takes place locally in the individual countries, the majority of the income remains locally, usually around 90 percent. This allows the control work to be carried out professionally and local organizations to be supported. A small part of the income goes to V-Label GmbH in Winterthur to maintain brand protection and to extend it to other countries and product categories.

In addition, the company also co-finances the international advertising for the V-Label, operates the international website and databases and ensures through coordination that the controls are equally strict in all countries.


  • Development and implementation of an international sales strategy
    • Identify international key accounts and develop a strategy to turn them into customers (in cooperation with local organizations)
    • Strategically develop the label towards new markets (especially non-food like fashion, personal care, etc.)
    • Develop and implement an international distribution strategy
    • Online and in-person actions to acquire new customers
    • Define and track monthly/quarterly goals
    • Training and support/coaching and mentoring of the local customer relationship managers on sales measures
    • development of an international sales plan in coordination with international marketing
    • Key account management (coordinating strategic cooperations for international customers)
  • Supporting the V-Label teams internationally by dealing with customers, offers, (bigger) cooperations
  • Creating and improving internal sales processes (updating acquisition training material, toolkits, and manual/guide)
  • Visiting international fairs and events for proactive acquisition
    • Coordination of fair participation/booth in diff. countries


Business skills

  • At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience preferably in labeling, certifications or Food industry and sales internationally
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent German (level: C2) and English (level: minimum C1) language skills; any additional language is a plus
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with an excellent eye for detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Good knowledge of relationship management skills and openness to feedback

Personal skills

  • Strong collaboration and excellent interpersonal skills with a positive & proactive work attitude and the ability to maintain positive employee relations
  • Willingness to travel and communicate effectively with a wide range of international people, both in person and via telephone/online
  • Willingness to undertake appropriate training as required


  • Minimum of two years experience in international customer acquisition/service, sales and key account management
  • Bachelor or Master degree in economics, marketing or a comparable field
